A little bit about the event:
GRIET is back for the second time with their show stopper annual festival Grietfest! South Africa’s first electro music festival has now teamed up with Beanstalk (Balkanology and Nu World) and Science Frikshun ,the gatekeepers to Jozi’s Drum n Bass underbelly, to bring you FIVE stages of all types of musical glory!

I love electronic music because of the energy it gives off. The bass pulsating through your body just makes you want to move. Its a dream of mine to see Trumpdisco, I used to bump to their Teenage Crime remix for days. Cape Town please.
Hmmmmnnn…to answer your question… The temporary home for our souls, our body, performs in a series of rhythms, patterns, and cycles. Most dance music does this as well, and similarly imitates it. Repetitive beats, and bass lines we can feel in our chests, right next to our beating hearts, the subconscious expanding and deflation of our lungs. The music and our bodies move and live so closely.
I adore electronic music because I feel raw ,every part of me amalgamating with the music around me. At a live performance, or at home, while dancing or just sitting back, I can’t help but close my eyes and grin like a little fairy.
Electronic music is the best thing to have hit the music scene. Everyone can boogy and bounce to electronic. It makes us feel as one. To me, i can get lost in the beats and bass. Makes me feel like a new person and each beat opens my mind to a whole new world. I LOVE ELECTRONIC MUSIC!! Best thing since slice bread.
Electronic music feeds my soul. never a dull moment with electronic music:)
Because electronic music is the language of the future.

I love EDM, as it stretches down into my roots of DJing, my undergrad Electronic & Computer Engineering (in regards to different types of synthesis and DAW programming), as well as my new found love for Bass-music production. I hope to take EDM through as a possible career!
