Addressing this year’s theme, all Earthdance events will focus on causes that work to promote gender equality and empower women, while fostering peace and harmony with each other and our Mother Gaia.
Earthdance believes that increasing women’s access to quality education, meaningful employment, land and other resources is vital to the sustainable development and evolution of humanity in the 21st century and beyond.

The highlight of the annual multi-location Earthdance Festival is a simultaneous link up, when every event across the world plays the Prayer for Peace at the exact same moment – morning in the Australian rainforest, afternoon in California, midnight in London, and sunrise over the Himalayas – the Prayer for Peace is a profound and powerful moment that unifies our intentions for World Peace on all levels.

Go through the Huguenot Tunnel (there is a toll). 14km after tunnel turn right towards Rawsonville.
After 6 km turn right into Rawsonville. At stop street turn right towards Worcester. Follow the road
for 12km. Look for signs.

All the Djanes playing at Earthdance are incredible and get my feet moving no matter what, but I’d have to say, I’m most excited to see SATORI!
She makes the most amazing music, she has such an uplifting and peaceful atmosphere and her day time set is definitely one of my favourites!
Earthdance has such an enchanting ambiance, with so many different things to do, it’s simply one festival I cannot miss. I’d really love to win tickets, I would be the happiest person on the dancefloor.

Monique Pascall.. I heard for the first time Live @ OppiKoppi! and she was Amazing… She took me on a Journey! And Everything about, her beats, stage presence and all other aspects of her (if you know wat i mean) resonate Straight up AWESOMENESS. And for the fact that im from JHB and that im going to be in CPT for the long wkend, what better way to spend it other than @ Earthdance .. :-p
Cannot wait to hear Cooks play if i win a ticket! She is fantastic, and the year of the woman is going to be incredible… great theme, i think it will be a recipe for all fellow dancers to unite and appreciate amazing music, make friends and be uplifted.

Seeing Candice (Blush) Heyns is always the most inspirational thing because of her motivation from the days of secret princess to where she is today. She is a true role model for other female Dj’s out there who want to make it in a rather male dominated scene. Earthdance is not just an amazing 3 day music event but it is a lifechanger that broadens ones perspective on issues that we deal with as a human race. The diversity of those who attend is already a great leap forward in strengthening the world community. The hour of peace prayer is the ultimate gift that the event has to offer because somewhere out there, someone is doing the same and this creates a sense of a camaraderie between all those who participate
I am most excited to see Tune Raider at Earthdance 2012. She ensures that everyone is brought together in a true Earthdance way and parties all night long.
What Earthdance stands for internationally:
It is a coming together of like minded individuals for peace, nature and their love of music. It is so much more than a three day outdoor festival. It is a way of life.
This would be my third Earthdance and each one has gotten bigger and more awesome as the years have progressed. To me, Earthdance is about:
Being with your mates,
Connecting with a group of like minded individuals,
being out in nature and enjoying the grass & sand under my feet,
allowing the irie vibes and extra special hippy times to flow,
Different genres, different styles of people, different walks of live all joining together,
celebrating what we have and not taking anything for granted.
I would love to see Tune Raider as her energy and tune selection is beyond mind blowing.. Cooks because she has become synonymous with Earthdance and Satori because she is just beautiful behind the decks.
I saw Emma X the other night and need another fix like that all over again…

Earthdance is a holistic global celebration of that universal soul that binds us all. It’s a prime chance to enhance this by emitting all sorts of good vibes together in harmony. At the same time it also aims to channel this goodwill into an actual force for transformation, by raising awareness and generating resources that would address various issues. In a nutshell: making a party out of participation!
Keen to rock out to all the female DJs–from Candice Heyns to Lady M everyone else–I’m more than sure they got the sass and beats to pump this party to make the world a better place.

Without a doubt, Tune Raider is at the top of my list! As one of our top most talented South African psy DJ’s, she brings a sense of togetherness and vibrance through her music. She illuminates all that Earth Dance stands for, and most notably, in significance with the theme this year.
Earthdance to me is a gathering of like-minded souls and spirits, all with the loves of the music,the great ourdoors and for peace. With so much hatred and biterness in the world, Earthdance is a significant wordly gathering where all alike can come together under one massive sky and celebreate the beauty and love of the moment. Sho… Amped to see TUNE RAIDER rocking the decks at Earthdance. She is an exceptional ambassador of SA trance that I’ve followed in the scene for ages. I’ve had some of the best times stomping ’til I’m stiff to this wonderwoman’s tantalizing trance, bouncing baselines and sexy stage presence.
Earthdance to me… Well, Earthdance was my first large scale music festival 4 years ago and as cliche as it sounds, it broadened my outlook on life. Earthdance speaks to one’s soul and brings to light the power of peace, beauty and unity that modern society undervalues so much. The fact that it is held on an international scale means that people all over the world are enlightened and thus it grows and grows spreading the message of unity in diversity. The first time i got to experience her amazing beats was at Jungala, last year! my very first outdoor! I am a newbie to this amazing scene & i just loved the way she interacted with us! She is such a strong female dj and it comes out in the way she spins those beat!
This will be my first EarthDance experience & being a feminist myself i love that not only is this a Global Peace party but the theme of “Year of The Woman” too! Giving power to woman when they actually do so much
Its always so great seeing the Commercial Hippies do what they are SO damn good at! Gracing the stage with their ‘old school’ beats is a treat for all ears! Tune raider brings something new to the scene with her fresh approach to trance, bubbling with enthusiasm and putting a smile on my face! Super evil is a treat for me personally, whenever they start playing i get overly excited, wishing the set would never end.
Earthdance has always been an event close to my heart, it stands for a cause so worth believing and supporting! Unfortunately i would not be able to attend this year if it wasnt for the chance of winning a ticket! I go to Rhodes, but would save and make the trip up for this event!! Winning a ticket would make this dream more of a reality for me! I would be beside myself if i missed the infectious vibe that will be permeating from this charitable phenomenon! Without a doubt the DJ I’m most looking forward to seeing has to be S.A’s queen of Dubstep Funafuji. The first time I heard one of her sets was at Cold Turkey, she would play the deepest and most soulful dubstep ever (Definitely proper dubstep). No matter what she played or which time slot the crowd would always feel her music. I have never been to Earthdance, but I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this festival it is definitely something that I need to experience. The pure happy vibes of the everyone and the best music ever. Internationally being a global festival of peace and a way of giving back to charities helping those less fortunate. It really is one of those beautiful events that I wish I could be apart of. This Earthdance should be close to the hearts of everyone seeing that they have decided to dedicate it to the mothers of earth being the women of this planet. Without them we would be nothing, basically we wouldn’t exist

SWAY!! Sway is one of my favourite lady artists as she is so consistently great! With her banging the beats and owning the stage with her presence she really is an inspiration to up and coming female DJs and is definitely someone to admire
Earthdance is a festival that not only caters for every type of person, it caters for a holistic experience of fun, learning, peace, family, friends and of course a community of sound that makes this weekend as amazing as it is!! Earthdance is unique in the fact that it happens all over the world to bring a sense of community and peace throughout the world. The message behind this amazing festival is beyond just a weekends worth of fun, it is a way of life to be lived and brings together a unity of people who aim for greater things. Who have a respect for the music, the culture and the reason why i personally have fallen in love with dancing with the earth
