  4. Craig Hendricks says:

Definitely Niskerone! One of, if not THE most popular DnB pioneers in Cape Town! Always a messy night when he’s in lineup and always brings the crowd out, and to see him playing at one of Cape Town’s fresh new annual festivals will be great respect for putting the CPT nightlife on the map!

  5. lexi says:

Cannot wait to see Niskerone!!! Never a dull moment and always an epic party

  6. Busisiwe says:

I am keen to see Black Coffee. He is a SAMA, Metro fm and Africa Channelo O award winner and he is the reason I fell in love with electronic/house music. He is an inspiration to many because he djs with his left arm and hands because he is paralysed on his right side wich shows that it do not matter what challenges you may have you are able to follow your dream and do it. Seeing him live will be so humbling and an experience never to be forgotten.

  7. jane says:

I’m soooo so amped to see Christian Tiger School! Listening to their music just makes my day so much better, so imagine seeing them live :D :D YES!!!

  8. jaime niddrie says:

I am keen to see Black Coffee. He is a SAMA, Metro fm and an African Channelo O music award winner. He is an inspiration to many south africans. He is paralysed on his right side meaning that he djs with his left arm. It shows his passion for djing that it don’t matter what challenges you go through you can achieve your goals and destiny. He is the reason I fell in love with house music and it would be an honour to see him live and perform

  11. Thomas says:

I’d definitely be lying if I didn’t say Richie Hawtin… why? It’s goddamn Richie Hawtin. The man is a legend and a hero. Not to mention he’s also insanely good :p

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, just watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bc6474KUBV8

I am keen to see Black Coffee. He is a SAMA, Metro fm and an African Channelo O misic award winner. His music also has elements of jazz and african roots and his passion for music shines through in each beat of his music. He inspires many people. He is paralysed on his right side and does his djing with his left which shows that whatever challenges you have you can follow your passion and dream. He is the reason why I fell in love with house music and seeing him perform will b amazing

  13. Nik says:

Besides the legend himself, Richie Hawtin, it’s going to have to be Haezer for electro. The guy never fails to impress, always makes a night that much better. There is a reason why he is signed onto Dim Mak records. For DnB, I’m so amped to see DJ A33. With his old school DnB sound he blew my mind the first time I saw him. Hopefully he’ll finally get the recognition and following that he deserves, and don’t think that there is a better platform than CTEMF. There are just too many fantastic acts, we’re truly blessed in SA when it comes to EDM.

Unfortunately I am a broke ass student (missed out on Haezers music video launch earlier this month because of that, how KAAAAAK is that?) in desperate need of some new clothes and a fat party for my final year of study, so My City By Night please make my year.

  14. Mr Dooks says:

Super Amped to see BlackCoffee just because i have not experienced him LIVE. ;-)

  15. Mingle says:

Impossible to miss out on Haezer! See you guys there. Ready to get my mind blown!!! Whoooohoooo!!!

  16. Shaakirah says:

HAEZER!!?? So proud to say that we have our very own S.A legend! This guy just breaks out the goosebumps!!! NISKERONE. Mad respect! KILLED it at Aoki + fiction (I swear I’m NOT a stalker..jst u FAAAAN)

  18. mikhail says:

    Niskerone!!!!!!

  19. Erika says:

Oh, I dont know. Maybe Lark? Did I say Lark? Perhaps I forgot to mention Lark. Electronic music is not only about thudding beats, rampant sounds and elevated music highs. Dear Inge and her frighteningly beautiful voice, teamed with some hauntingly accurate music still plays in my car, my home and my head.

  20. Colleen says:

I am extremely keen on my sons behalf. He so wants to see black coffee

  21. reshma says:

    Brilliant. Thank you

  22. jennifer says:

    Niskerone most definitely!

  23. Chantelle says:

Only one artist – MIX N BLEND!!!

Those guys make me bounce. They give me this funny tingle feeling inside which makes me want to hump the daylights out of anything. I try to contain it, I usually do. I do contain it by jamming to the bass in my face!!

  24. Rory says:

I can’t wait to see Ricky. Hoping he brings the vest

  25. Kieran says:

Bring on some Richie Hawtin and Sibot, in, my FACE… more than excited, i had to miss last year, so im amped that i can actually go this year…

  26. Katya says:

    RICHIE HAWTIN!!!!!!!
    need i say more ;)

  27. Willem says:

Haezer!! Because he is local talent at its best and would love party my socks off on his tunes.

I am entering this competition to win the Hamper of CTEMF that is worth R2,300

  30. Peter says:

Niskerone of course!!!! cos its always a pleasant surprise!!!!!

  31. Rowan says:

Cannot wait to see Sayyid’s new live show with Sibot and Toyota Cressida. Having been a fanboy of Max Normal and Antipop Consortium back in the early 2000s, it’s a real blessing to have the head honchos of both crews coming together for for their first cross continental collaboration. The start of something big – I can feel it in my veins.

  32. Dylan James says:

Richie Hawtin – gonna jam hard! PARTY KARATE!

  33. Christopher says:

    Gotta be Christian Tiger School.
Because their music is amazing, but their live sets blow my mind. Hard.

  34. Meaghan Peters says:

Christian Tiger School, Sibot and Niskerone :) because they are awesome and there is always a party when they are around ;)

  35. Sne says:

I am most definetly keen to go to CTEMF again. I lost my shit at last year’s fest, kinda hoping to find it only to lose it again this year. Looking forward to SIBOT, CHRISTIAN TIGER SCHOOL and NISKERONE. Massively enjoyed myself in 2012, got introduced to PH FAT, HAEZER and MR SAKITUMI, and hopefully I’ll get to hear some other amazing acts this year.

  36. Kashmita Naidoo says:

    Niskerone!! Awesome beats. Can’t wait

  37. Kashmita Naidoo says:

I just drove past Luc standing outside his house talking to some bozy. He looked so deuriekak.
Probably spent the night working on his set list for CTEMF
    or just drinking…

  41. I wanna see Christian Tiger School – THEEEEEEE ULTIMATE PSYCHEDELIC TRIPPING MUSIC ! AND OBVIOUSLY THE LEGENDARY BLACK COFFEE – IT WILL ONLY BE A PLEASURE TO WATCH HIM SINGLE HANDEDLY LIGHT THE STAGE ON FIRE!

  42. jaime niddrie says:

  43. Nicole Feltman says:

HAEZER!!!! – because i cant wait to break my neck from cranking out to his jams! his become one of my favorite djs of all time. Im amped for this weekend!

  44. Blair Smith says:

    Heeeeey!

Uber keen to see Cards on Spokes! I haven’t seen them since a utterly drunk night in first year- which ended up with my roomie inviting a hobo into our house and then feeding her & making her sleep here on the couch! And us waking up to find that the hobo, our groceries and my money gone! True story!

  45. Mo says:

It would have to be black coffee, i did not have a very good start to my year so i turned to music like most people black coffee is a good musician and to see him live could make my year :)

  46. Kreg says:

    We have chosen our winner:

Well done to Dino. We thought your answer was a cracker and deserved you the chance to see Mr Hawtin once again!

    This was his winning answer:

“Hawtin. Reason: I saw him in Ibiza last year and this was not close to any other clubbing experience, this was an enlightenment, a spiritual experience. I felt apart of a cult and I want to feel that again.”

We’ll be emailing you. Please get back to us ASAP!

    Thanks!

  47. Kelsi says:

The same people win these comps, the same people that have seen these artists before and that can afford to go on their own win these awesome comps compared to people that really really want to go and really can’t go don’t ever win.. One day. One day I really hope to win a my city by night competition and see hawtin lol. Sigh
