Unwind at Drostdy-Hof’s Festive Market
We love finding out about new markets to visit and thought that we’d give this one a mention considering that it was a little different from the normal Cape Town selection. Drostdy-Hof is kick-starting the festive season, with an annual market day, planned for Saturday, November 10 at the beautiful De Oude Drostdy in Tulbagh.
It is a little different from the usual in that it is a single day aimed at showcasing South Africa’s second oldest town at its fun and countryside best with a carefully selected range of mostly handmade products, crafts and yummy food.
Stalls will be set up on the beautiful Cape Dutch style museum and also on the grounds outside, while, a jumping castle will keep the kids happy and occupied. If you’re keen to do something a bit more chilled, outside of Cape Town this could be a cool way to spend the day.
The market opens at 10:00 and continues till 15:00.
