THE GASLAMP KILLER (USA)

The Gaslamp Killer is a raw revolutionary who sets every moment on shatter. A GLK DJ set is an experience in the ultra-unexpected. Wrecking the decks like Animal (minus the soft Muppet facade), Gaslamp is a tornado of exploding hair and energy. In these high heat moments he meshes multi-genre international mystery music with the grimiest beats in existence. Gaslamp’s psychedelic stew shines supreme in dim spaces with big bass.

The Gaslamp Killer is on the future-planetary label, Brainfeeder, along with Mr. Oizo, Tokimonsta and Flying Lotus to name a few. In 2010, along with Flying Lotus, he produced Gonja Sufi’s ‘A Sufi and a Killer’ (Warp Records). He also helped found (and is a resident at) Low End Theory in Los Angeles, where Thom Yorke recently played a cameo DJ set.
