That’s What She Said with Sarah Main (CPT, JHB, DBN)

It’s all about girls on top…That’s What She Said

Yes… you’re right- Woman’s Day is around the corner and why not celebrate it with one of the most exciting parties of winter this year. Younique Concepts & After Hours together with Lovoka, Le Grand Saint and Tudortech presents That’s What She Said, featuring international DJ, Sarah Main from the Pacha, Ibiza. Sarah is one of MCBN’s favourites after the last time we managed to catch up with her (link HERE)- she’s friggin cool.

Sarah Main provides a true mix of European beauty, brains and musical talent.  She is currently the superstar resident of one of the world’s best clubs, Pacha in Ibiza. In the 2011 season, David and Cathy Guetta took Sarah under their wing when recognising the subtle blend of style and credibility she brings to an occasion. She soon became the hottest ticket on the island. Now she’s back in SA!

Whether it’s a small intimate venue, a major clubbing institution or a festival styled circuit, Sarah thrives on her interaction with the crowd, proving night after night that she was literally born to be a DJ. Nominated twice at the Ibiza DJ awards, in 2006 Sarah won the highly coveted title, ‘Best Ibiza DJ’ and has opened for blockbuster acts like The Swedish House Mafia, Def Mix, Eric Morillo, Pure Pacha & Subliminal.

Tudortech is running exciting competitions. Some lucky partygoers will take home Olympus Tough cameras, perfect for both the party animal and outdoor enthusiast. Also topping the list are SanDisk Mp3 and USB products; and cool Belkin Mobile Accessories for Apple and Samsung.

That’s What She Said kicks off in Cape Town at The Grand on the 9th of August. This day-event promises to be the mirage of Ibiza. Think whirlwind cocktails in the guests’ hands, white sand under their feet and sensational music in their ears. Partygoers can expect to see female DJs Nicole Weitz, Shylo, Lady M, Vanessa Holliday, Kirsty Hugo and Sarah Main being the highlight of the day.

On Friday the 10th August the celebration moves on to Origin in Durban where Funky B will kickstart the party, followed by a symphony of sonic beauties in the Engine Room. That’s What She Said wraps up at Nicci Beach in Johannesburg on the 11th August with the brilliant Tashy, Lady Lea, Thalia, Vanessa Holliday and Emma X. Stretched tents and the latest in lighting and sound technology will renovate the venue into an intimate but explosive party.

Director of Younique Concepts and DJ, Vanessa Holliday had this to say about the event:

“This year’s Women’s Day will be transformed into the most vibrant and exceptional music experience.”

Vanessa Holliday is one of the first female performers to sustain the ever changing scene, exploring sounds, technology and even fashion, as an intrinsic part of her creative expression. Her work on the club circuit has taken her beyond the borders to London, India and Ibiza, all over SA and deep into Africa, where experiencing the cultures in Kenya, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia, inspired her tribal rhythms.

Goodies such as make-up, magazines, spa treatments, vouchers and more will be distributed to the ladies throughout the night.

What better way to celebrate my womanhood with my girls than partying it up in style in the beautiful venue! It will be a perfect opportunity to wear my dress that I have been saving for a worthy event! The Olympus touch camera would be a cherry on top since I love taking pictures and posing for the camera! And will come in handy for my blog!
