Rubadub & DubstepSA present the Document One “Tainted Dub EP Tour” (WIN)
DOCUMENT ONE
Since their debut performance in early 2009, Document One, a duo comprised of producers Matt King and Joe Froud has risen rapidly to become a serious force within the fast developing Dubstep scene. They have received huge support from such heavy weights of the genre as Borgore, Bar 9, Excision and Datsik to name just a few.
The pair’s production never disappoints a dance floor even when played alongside the most cutting edge sounds. Tunes by Document One have featured in sets from DJ’s such as Torques, Twist, Statelapse, Vaski, Borgore, Downlink and Crissy Criss. The list goes on. With their style sitting comfortably between the filthiest side of Dubstep made popular by producers such as Chasing Shadows, and the more upbeat/ jump up style heard from artists such as Funtcase, their tunes have become an essential part of DJ sets from many of the scenes biggest names. When reviewing Document One’s first release, well known producer Tomba said “as Filthy as it comes, Phasing wobbles stretching the stereo limit and modulations that’ll make you throw up – all that accompanied by a wicked MC – making this tune one of the best filthy, yet hit-mainstream-material I’ve heard in the past 6 months”.
Document One are not just about a beat and a bass line, their creations are rich in harmonic and melodic content you would not always expect from a dance music genre. This results in a sound accessible to those interested in all musical styles regardless of whether or not they are familiar with Dubstep.
Document One are preparing to head out on tour in support of their new EP, ‘Tainted Dub’ out on October 31st on Buygore. The tour kicks off in Paris, travelling all round Europe and even venturing down under. The EP launch and debut live show…

Please can I get tickets for the Cape Town show? See, the boyfriend has been playing the same goddamn dubstep mix for like a month. I need to actually take him so he can get it out of his system.
