Own this City with Lee
The Fall/Winter campaign from Lee entitled Own this City runs on the back of last year’s The City Is Mine campaign. It’s all about staking your claim of the little piece of city by expressing yourself through the latest Lee garb.
To accompany the launch of the new campaign, Motion City Films shot a little promo video, backed with a tune from local Cape Town band Red Huxley (find it at the end of the post). I love how everyone tries to pretend that they’re loving being in the water when we all know the oceans surrounding CT are generally ICY cold. Big up, I almost enjoyed that more than all of the cool Lee kit in the video.

I own this city because I see its beautiful, tiny , hidden details. If I was a city, I’d be Cape Town.
Cape Town. Such an awesome city full of outdoor adventures, to those who grab all opportunities to explore and live life.
Walks, skates, surfs and even just drives around this city leave you cheesing from cheek to cheek… why do i ‘own this city’?? well because i never let a day slip with out the enjoying the even smallest adventure in this beauty soaked place!

Cumaaan Mycitybynight and Lee make me a happy child
I own this city because today I discovered a surf spot in my own backyard (15mins from home) that I never knew existed. Well, I knew it existed, I just pass it on a daily basis and never knew there were actually waves there. I had the whole beach to myself and surfed for almost 2 hours on this beautiful sunny Winters day.
I think the lesson here is that Cape Town has so much to offer in all departments. It’s all about taking the time, effort and getting out of your comfort zone to go explore it.
Sometimes I wear a Cape and run around Town.
Own it. There aint no city but this city.
even if I’m old can can see why I could not still were Lee jeans and own the city.
Because I’m like the mayor of 90% of the town on Foursquare. Er, did I just cross the geek line?
