Why not treat your significant other to a romantic evening in the Boland this Valentines’ Day, 14 February 2012, while enjoying an open-air screening of the beautiful love story – The Notebook- at Rhebokskloof Wine Estates’ scenic Theatre on the Lake.
Watching it will probably score you a million brownie points (and I wouldnt exactly tell all of your guy mates) but The Notebook (PG 13 S), is a classic story of thwarted love, a rich-and-poor social divide and unrequited emotions withstanding the passage of time. It stars Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, Gena Rowlands and James Garner (essential chick flick cast).

The popular venue can hold up to 1 500 guests on its sprawling lawns overlooking the main dam. “Get away from the hustle and bustle of town and bring the whole family to the tranquil Rhebokskloof Wine Estate. We have a selection of activities on offer to keep the entire family entertained,” says Managing Director Anton du Toit. Guests are welcome to bring along their own pre-packed picnic or pre-order a delicious basket of eats and treats in advance from the estate’s kitchen. Rhebokskloof wines are available to purchase at all the estate events.

I attended their Valentine’s movie night last year and it was AWESOME! So cool just chilling under the stars watching a movie on the huge movie screen!

We were there about 2 years ago also for Valentine’s day, attending the charity concert with Emo, Wikus, Shasha-Lee, etc. It was totally awesome and I would like to go back there!! 
Rhebokskloof Wine Estate. I’m single and I think I deserve to be spoilt anyway. Sitting under the stars with a nice bottle of Rhebokskloof Chardonnay, box of tissues handy and my own little corner so as not to make all the lovey dovey couples jealous of how wonderfully free I am and perhaps ill bring another sad single individual along to join me in my oneness, this would end my Valentines day off wonderfully :p
