Nandos Comedy Fest is back
One of South Africa’s most successful comedy events returns this year, bigger and better. The Nandos Comedy Fest will now be taking place in Cape Tow, Durban, Jozi & Soweto- get ready to laugh your ass off.
Hunta Live and DStv have once again joined forces to bring the annual Nando’s Comedy Festivals to new audiences by including the first annual Soweto Comedy Festival into the mix. Held at the Playhouse in Durban, the Teatro at Montecasino, the Artscape Theatre in Cape Town and now the Walter Sisulu Hall (for the Soweto Comedy Festival), comedy lovers across SA will get the chance to catch the biggest comics from all over the world on one stage in the finest straight-up, stand up comedy event around.
Comedy Central is proud to present another favourite part of the festivals: the very popular local stand-up competitions “Graça Comedy Showdowns”. See contestants fight it out regionally on-stage during the “heats” with nothing more than their quick wit, a mic, and a burning desire to become the newest comedy hero of the festival. The winners of the annual-search-for-SA’s-new stand-up-star will get the chance to perform alongside the international comedy heavy weights for the duration of the regional festival they entered.
