MMD & BEARTRAP pres REMANUFACTURE feat ORCA and TRYAMBAKA live and loud!
Oh yes, the first two LIVE acts confirmed for Cape Town this outdoor season have been named and they are probably two of the biggest names in the scene at the moment (and my favourite’s aswell). Trymabaka and Orca who have both gained the respect of fellow DJ’s and trancer around the world for their psycadelic beats and twisted dancefloor antics. We are lucky enough to be seeing Trymabaka again in Cape Town but Orca, he is going to be another story. He has to be one of my favourite producers out there and he is going to absolutely destroy the dancefloor. The perfect blend of dark night time and melodic twisted morning beats… On the 20th of November, Cape Town will be presented with one of the greatest parties of the year
Orca
Alon Lifer, aka Orca, grew up in Nes-ziona city, center of Israel.
At the age of 15 Alon took up the guitar and lessons followed shortly thereafter, hugely influenced by the metal bands he had grown up with, and all sub genres.
However, eventually a new wave of music that emerged in the early 1990s caught his attention – Intelligent Dance Music (or IDM) and the more electronic oriented bands.
It was as a result of the exposure to these styles of music that the inevitable happened with Alon’s eventual exposure to the trance scene in 2000 which was really starting to blossom. The unavoidable result was Alon’s decision to make electronic music, combining all the styles that had influenced him over the earlier years…and with that, he closed one circle and began to make a new one..
Orca’s debut album, Fist of Fury was released on Doof Records in 2008 and is still one of the most talked about releases in the scene.

Trymabaka
Tiago Pimente, or as we know him – Tryambaka, has had a connection with music since his childhood.
Although first influenced by classical music, it would eventually be the power of electronic music that would influence his artistic culture at psychedelic parties.
Discovering trance led Tryambaka to producing intense sounds marked by a nocturnal and unique style. Since then he has reveled in the challenge at his finger tips.
He adopting one of the many names given to the Hindu god, Shiva, meaning the one who sees thru the third eye, a vision that promotes union just like the music he creates and represents.
Since his introduction to the Cape Town Trance scene in Feb 2009, the return of Tryambaka has been one of the most anticipated events.
