Le Good Life comes to Durban

GoodLuck have always had a bit of a soft spot for the Kwazulu Natal and the city of poison, Durban and this shows, given how nuts everyone goes when they here that the group is making their way back to the East coast.

On Saturday 12 May the GoodLuck crew will be lifting the bar (as extraordinary as that may seem) with a concert on the lawns in front of Sun Coast Casino supported by one of  their (and OUR) favourite live-DJ acts in the country, Pascal & Pearce.

“The opportunity came about when J C Le Roux approached us to work on a new single called Le Good Life and we suggested putting together a national tour with a grand finale in Durban to support the new track…”

- tells Juliet Harding who is the lead vocalist and writes for GoodLuck.

The band, who are based in Cape Town, are nominated for 3 SAMA’s at this years award ceremony and have been working on this event for the past 4 months in conjunction with J C Le Roux and Impi Concept Events.

“Picking the right venue and designing a stage show to trump anything we’ve done in Durban before has been an exciting challenge.”

-says Ben Peters the Producer of GoodLuck.

Pascal & Pearce have remixed several GoodLuck songs (including Le Good Life) and are also nominated for a SAMA. To add to all of their success, they’ve also just been picked up by super blogger Perez Hilton- who just this weekend was sharing the love he had for the brand new “Disco Sun” banger.

So what makes this event different from all the other shows this dynamic trio have performed at?

“Well we’ve put this one together with our audience in mind from the very beginning and have spared no expense thanks to J C Le Roux.”

- answers Ben.

“We’re bringing in the most incredible lighting setup that we’ve spent the last 6 months conceptualising and designing and this will be the first show to witness it! Both GoodLuck and Pascal and Pearce will be performing extended sets and there will definitely be a few new surprises too – some new remixes and of course we’ll be performing Le Good Life for the first time in Durban!”

“We’ve tried to keep the ticket price as low as possible so that as many of our fans can enjoy the show and we’ve banned the useless idea of a Golden Circle! We absolutely hate those things – I have no idea why you would want to split up your audience!?”
