Harry Redknapp loses his Cool in an interview
Harry Redknapp, despite managing annoyingly average sides into great pretenders, actually comes across as quite a likeable guy. When you look at that rubbery blood-red face, easy-going demeanour and rambles with a cockney accent, you could imagine having a pint or seven with him at your local. And he probably won’t even make you pay.
But there is one thing old ‘Arry is renowned for, and that is for blowing his top off, whether it’s at his players, management or the press. And he loves to properly cuss them out in the process. Following Tottenham’s surprising home defeat to Wigan a week ago, Redknapp was faced with a comment he couldn’t handle from Sky Sports reporter Rob Palmer, who said “You’ve made your name as a wheeler and a dealer but there has not been much wheeling and dealing here”.
“Fuck off” Rednkapp snapped as he tore off the earpiece and walked away, “I’m not a wheeler and dealer, fuck off. I’ve not made my name as a wheeler and dealer, don’t say that, I’m a fucking football manager”.
Talk about losing your cool! The clip of Harry giving Rob Palmer a rinsing has already become something of a YouTube hit, with more than 400 000 views on the video-sharing website.
