Having played alongside each other many a time abroad, they are going to be bringing the 3D power down to the Cape Town dancefloor on the 8th August, in a 1 Night Only psycho-delic spectacle you don’t want to miss!!

THE SIDE SHOW (Former FEZ) – Cape Town. This year, Frost-Bite 3D will be hosted once again at one of Cape Town’s most well-known venues, The Side Show!
The venue boasts multiple areas, outdoor smoking and chill area, multiple bars, balconies and offers a massive fully air conditioned dancefloor. We will also be extending the main dancefloor again to give all you psyheads more extra space!
The venue will be transformed into a psychedelic winter spectacle by PsynOpticz Design, and warping visuals are being provided by Image Master Blink.

Christof Absolum is the man behind 3D Vision Recordings, a label occupying a leading position in the market of trance music. He has been involved in the music business for quite a long time, releasing his first record back in 1988 (Eighteen, MayaProd/Musidisc) in the pure New Wave style of the 80s.
Producer, DJ, he started producing trance with his band Transwave in 1994, which was one of the most popular trance project at that time (7 Eps and 3 albums between 1994 and 1996, on various famous English and French labels) with a video clip rotating on the main world TV Channels such as MTV, Viva, MCM, etc……
Christof is also one of the founders and Label Manager of iBZ Recordings, a Tech/Tech-House label based in both Ibiza & Barcelona, Spain. Born in France, with Italian and Spanish blood, Christof moved to Ibiza almost 8 years ago to be located where things are happening : Ibiza is known as the world capital of Dance Music.
Christof started Djing in the early 90s playing techno in the first underground parties in Paris. Since then, he is been touring the world playing in clubs, parties and festivals. His agenda includes Japan, Brazil, Australia, Israel, South Africa, Costa Rica, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, UK, Ireland, Danemark, Sweden, Latvia, Hungary, Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, Italy, Portugal, Cyprus, Montenegro, Greece, Turkey, Mexico, USA, Canada, Morocco, Taiwan, Russia, etc…..
Ibiza was an important move for Christof since he is lately coming back to his roots, restarting Djing techno sets and producing through his label iBZ Recordings. He is also collaborating with Italian Techno master Alex Di Stefano and his label Binary 404….iBZ Recordings has reached respect and recognition in the techno world in a few monthes only, due to an effective and top quality release selection and a great distribution through Press & Play (1605 crew, UMEK’s Team)….
****Although no stranger to the Cape Town massive this will be the 1st time in over 10 years that Christof Absolum will be performing at an indoor event in the mother city, and he is guaranteed to blast some 3D visions into you!

Lost & Found is the psychedelic trance project of Gerhard Olivier. Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, the Lost & Found project specializes in powerful, futuristic peaktime trance music to widespread critical acclaim.
Gerhard rose to prominence with around 30 singles coming out in the past 5 years on established labels like 3d vision, Nutek, Timecode, Yabai, Nexus Media, Phantasm, Hadra, and Mechanik. He had been performing around the world in Japan, Mexico, Russia, Israel, and all over Europe, letting the music speak for itself. Having introduced a modern interpetation of psychedelic trance music he fast became a sought after producer and worked with and remixed artists like Absolum, Azax Syndrom, Cpu, Painkiller, Bliss, Artifakt, Shift, Mindcore and Slug to name a few.
Today the Lost & Found sound shows a marked increase in depth and rhythmic complexity over previous works and has now come into its own. The focus is on cutting edge production and innovative ideas for the dancefloor. He is of the belief that EVERYTHING THAT’S INTERESTING IS NEW and applies this ethic to his work. His live sets are full of energy and colour the whole dancefloor.
“Decoder” his long awaited debut album is in its final stages of production and is due for release soon on the legendary label 3D Vision Recordings. When asked why it has taken so long to produce “Decoder”, his response is simply “quality not quantity”. In a scene where most of the music is a copy of a copy this album will stand out and offer a glimpse into the future.
****Lost & Found will be arriving in Cape Town directly after the Utopia Festival (Official Boom Festival Afterparty), and with his home-base knowledge of pushing the Cape Town crowd already down, he has said that we can expect loads of fresh beats made in the future…future sounds!!

TEARS is a Pro-life, non-profit organisation whose core aim is to rescue, rehabilitate, re-unite and re-home lost, abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats.
The same as Frost-Bite II, for every ticket bought we will be donating R5 to The Emma Animal Rescue Society – TEARS. Last winter we raised over R5000 towards this noble cause, and we would love to support them with the same this season.
