Fiona Coyne dead- but not in a car crash as originally reported

I thought that this was worth a mention considering that I was having dinner right across from her just the other night while out and about in Cape Town.

Fiona Coyne- the rather fiesty and incredibly witty ginger former presenter of the South African version of the Weakest Link, died in at her home on Wednesday and not in a car accident as was earlier reported in a number of other sources.

Apparently the Fish Hoek police department have opened an inquest docket, but no foul play is suspected at this stage.

“We can confirm that her body was discovered at 8:40 by her domestic worker,” Warrant Officer November Philander told News24.

Apart from her job belittling contestants on the Weakest Link Coyne was also fairly prominent in the theatre industry, having been involved in several theatre productions spanning several years. Coyne’s last production, The Shadrack Affair showed at the Baxter Theatre in 2004.

Coyne was only 45-years-old and our thoughts and prayers are with all of her friends and family at this time! Fiona is a talent within the media and entertainment industry that is going to be sorely missed!
