Fake SARS email
Hey boys and girls, its that time of the year when you have to submit your tax returns and I got wind of a scam that makes use of a fake SARS email. Basically its an email with Tax Return Payment or something similar as the subject. It is definately not from SARS and instead of getting some of your tax Rands back in the form of a rebate, some dodgy crack fiend will use your bank details etc to commit fraud!
Here’s an example of the mail…

Be warned! This type of scam is called phishing and typically involves you disclosing personal details that allows criminals to commit fraud of all sorts using what you’ve unwittingly supplied to them.
I just thought I’d share this with all of you, as I wouldnt want any of you to get conned!
Ps Thanks Belinda
