Enough Weapons – Walking On Water EP

I have always loved my breakbeats and it’s recently been resurrected by the likes of Enough Weapons, El Gordo who sometimes rocks the breaks and Twelv and Thesis (who rocked the hell out of Rocking The Daisies) . Enough Weapons have released their latest EP – Walking On Water on the 13th of December. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy and have a little listen. There is the original ”Walking on Water” by Enough Weapons and then 7 remixes from producers from all over the globe. Ranging from South Africa to Australia and the USA. I know I am going to sound bias when I say this but my favourite remix has to be by Twelv of Twelv and Thesis from JHB.

Kidchameleon Sinking Fast

One of the other remixes that I seriously enjoyed was the Melodik remix, I think cause it had a very dubsteppy feel to it with a very “melodic” main riff, more uplifting but still very banging. The original is a solid driving track with a bassline that will tear up the dance floor. Enough Weapons produce breaks that have a very energetic sound to it, it almost forces you to want jam, as I listen to the original I couldnt stop tapping my foot the whole way throughout it.
