Truth is back in favour with SA fans of electronic dance music and will be leading the loyal ravers down a more housey path with International guest DJ, Carlos Mendoza (Lawnchair Generals) playing a tasty set at the legendary club on the 18th of June.

CARLOS MENDOZA (Lawnchair Generals)

Carlos Mendoza and Peter Christianson formed Lawnchair Generals in 2001 while working together at Seattle’s Platinum Records. The duo have been shaping the future of underground House music ever since.

LCG’s celebrated tracks and remixes have been released by Aroma Records, Amenti Music, Nordic Trax, Om Records and their own imprint, LCG Music among others. Their tracks have appeared on compilations from Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Om Records, Classic Recordings, DJ Magazine and IDJ and by heavyweights Mark Farina, DJ Sneak, DJ Heather, Hippe and Halo, Kaskade, Fred Everything, Shapeshifters, Derrick Carter and many more- meaning that this will be a night of education in music for all those who rock this event.

GUY HERMAN’s FAREWELL

Truth also bids farewell to Guy Herman by hosting the very last sets of 2011 on home soil from both Guy and Pimp Squad. Guy has been a Truth resident since 2005 and has become an influential member of the team. The quality, passion, dedication and energy which Guy brings to his sets along with his fellow Truth residents has played an integral role in establishing Truth as SA’s premiere underground nightclub.
