Cape Town’s only themed conceptual bar, The Station on Bree announces their first boarding call for all local and international travelers to board the train for departure at platform 2016 and arrive at their final destination of 2017 with an intimate and bespoke NYE celebration on Saturday 31st December. A limited three hundred passengers will all receive the VVIP experience of a less crowded NYE celebration with all-board-welcome drinks while either lounging in the private carriages or dancing to the beats of three of the country’s hottest DJ talent spinning the latest in hip-hop, disco, afro-house, and house music. The train will stop just before midnight and champagne glasses filled with bubbles for the NYE toast before continuing the journey of 2017.

The Station on Bree offers Cape Town and international folk several themed ‘stations’ aptly – and seamlessly – fitted with familiar hallmarks of the United Kingdom’s (UK) famous tube system.

According to The Station on Bree founder Neil Basel, until now there has been no venue offering a diverse platform of entertainment, a themed-destination and a prime location: “Our character-filled heritage venue will be decked out and should you MIND THE GAP we’ve got everything covered for your ultimate VVIP NYE commuter experience across multiple levels and platforms, including an underground club vibe. Expect a cozy colourful experience throughout the venue from train seating to courtyard bus shelter to underground dance floor.”

ALL ABOARD – DJ CONDUCTORS:

Hauswork:
Originally starting out as a monthly event night, Hauswork evolved in to the alter-ego of the collaboration between Nicole Weitsz and Ainslie Ford, as an outlet for the housier side of their sound. The duo’s lively blend of deep, tech and bass house came to prominence in extended 6-8 hour sets at Cape Town’s infamous Bullion Bar. Contrasting with the highly saturated deep house market, the pair orchestrated a sound designed to keep people dancing and they are notorious for giving as much behind the booth as the dancefloor in front of it.

Pat La Funk:
German born and bred, Pat La Funk formally known as Patrick Soldan is a well-known passionate DJ and Producer with several residencies in Johannesburg. His fun loving, free spirit has had success in performing for many different crowds on several different stages, including the biggest night clubs in South Africa, namely: Nicci Beach, Taboo,
VIP Room, Shimmy Beach club, Origin and many more! Pat La Funk has revved up his reputation by playing on the biggest stages in Africa including all the Johannesburg Ultra SA Music Festivals to date, H2O’s and many more. He has played alongside and opened for various international legends, the likes of Deadmau5, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren, just to name a few, he has also shared the stage with some of South Africa’s biggest acts.

During 2015, Pat La Funk joined DJ Milkshake on 5fm with a biweekly radio residency.

Ten years in the making, inspired by countless adventures, success and even hardships, Pat La Funk expands his musical horizons, and would feel honoured for you to join him on his journey.

DJ FOSTA:
DJ FOSTA is the most prolific artist coming out of Langa in the Cape Town city, home of legendary musicians such as our beloved late Brenda Fassie. One of his very first song ‘KHULULA’ remained number one on South Africa’s biggest national radio station – 5FM – for five weeks and remains a firm favourite almost 10 years later. He produced 2 of the well-received songs for Busi M ‘Ndanele’ & ‘Ndidikiwe’. Life Rhythms is one of the projects where FOSTA collaborated with the Scottish artist Chris Develin. In 2013 they worked with Lungiswa Plaatjie and produced the song Mama which was signed by an international label Peng Africa a label owned by ANDY COMPTON. 2014 FOSTA also worked with American songstress MARISSA GUZMEN.

This same year FOSTA was invited to perform at the GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL in the UK.
He shared a back to back set with one the top producer/DJ SKRILLEX at The Rabbit Hall in the UK. A year later he was invited to ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event).
He was one the local artists to Headline at the Internationally recognised Festival SONAR Cape Town.

This year FOSTA Headlined the BOILER ROOM CPT alongside international DJs HENDRICK SWARTZ, FRED P, MOVE D, JULLIAN GOMES & KID FONQUE an event which streamed live worldwide. Current projects is that DJ FOSTA is working on is the BRIDGES FOR MUSIC SCHOOL being currently built in Langa.
